Pythag Tech closes $4.25M seed round for an AI platform that designs licensable cultivated meat processes
Pythag Tech, a New York startup, said on 22 October 2026 that it had closed a $4.25 million seed round. Azolla Ventures led it, joined by Endurance28 and other institutional backers. The firm makes no meat. It plans to enlarge its proprietary biological data and the machine learning system trained on it to design cultivated meat processes for licensing to food firms. Pythag says its models select lab experiments on culture media, cell lines and bioprocess conditions, which it views as the main cost levers, and feed each round's results into the next. In 2024 it launched Clean Meat Terminal, a market data tool. In August 2025 it partnered with Australian cultivated lamb developer Magic Valley, which expected cheaper per-kilogram production.
